“Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can,
at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.” - john Wesley
Falls City's Historic UMC
A Nationally Registered Historic Site, Built in 1892
The Falls City United Methodist Church is a living, breathing historic church! We currently have a very active and devoted congregation that is growing daily. We are located at the corner of 1st Avenue and North Main in beautiful downtown Falls City Oregon, and our services are held at 9:20am each Sunday. Our church is a part of the United Methodist Church, but all who are interested in attending are welcome!
The church building was constructed in 1892, and today it is the oldest building still in original use within the city limits. It is one of the very few late 19th century churches remaining in Polk County, and it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the National Park Service.
While the church is a centrepiece of local architecture, and now has a new foundation and a restored bell tower, there is still much restoration work to be done. We need additional interior restoration, as well as upkeep and maintenance
A Restoration Fund has been established with Bank of America in Dallas. Contributions are tax deductible in accordance with state and federal law. Currently a good deal of the restoration is done, but there are still many small things that need doing, and upkeep and maintenance that is always needed. If you should wish to donate to help the continuing work of the restoration, contributions can made to FC UMC Restoration and mailed to P.O. Box 473 Falls City, OR 97344 or you can click here to make a donation online directly via paypal.
